However, dried leeches put into water cannot revive because before drying, they are soaked in diluted lime and alcohol to death. After death, the leeches are dissected to remove their intestines. Then wash with salt water, boil and cut into pieces.
According to physician Dinh Cong Bay in Oriental medicine, leeches still exist. It is called hydrophora, has a salty taste and is poisonous, has the effect of breaking blood and stasis, clearing the meridians, and diuretic. red eyes, difficulty urinating… Dried leeches are widely available at Oriental medicine stores in Vietnam. However, no one has ever said they can bring dead leeches back to life.

Previously on November 19, authorities of Quang Ninh province inspected and discovered that driver Hoang Van Thanh (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) was carrying 960 kg of dry leeches and more than 80 kg of Dried geckos without documents of unknown origin. The authorities made a record of temporary seizure of the entire shipment for verification and handling.
