Within the framework of Vietnamese Cultural Day in the UAE in 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE organizes a special traditional music art program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and celebrating the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UAE.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the UAE – emphasized the importance of the past 30 years. The Vietnam – UAE friendship and cooperation system is actively developing in many fields of politics, diplomacy, trade, labor investment and tourism.
UAE is currently Vietnam’s largest trading partner. South belongs to the Arab countries in the Middle East – North Africa region while Vietnam is the UAE’s largest partner in ASEAN. In 2022, the value of non-oil trade between the two countries will reach 8.3 billion USD.
At the program People’s Artist Do Quoc Hung – Deputy Director of the Academy Music Country Vietnam People’s Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi – Vice President of the Association Vietnamese music Meritorious Artist Hoa Dang Tan Nhan and typical artists of the Vietnam National Academy of Music performed delicately and skillfully classic concert works of Vietnamese traditional music.</p >
People’s Artist Quoc Hung and singer Tan Nhan performed sublimely to conquer international audiences and the Vietnamese community in the UAE with the grandeur of the song Country (author Pham Minh Tuan). At the program, the flowing cheo melody in Peach Willow also brought the audience at Abu Dhabi National Theater to experience extremely rich levels of emotions.
Conclusion of the program is a special highlight – a combined performance between Vietnamese artists and representative artists of the UAE National Band – one of the leading traditional bands in the UAE with a total of nearly 30 members. from 7 emirates of the UAE often perform at event national and international.
This is the first time In the UAE, the Vietnamese monochord and flute, the Oud Qanun of Arabic music, harmonized familiar melodies to the people of the two countries such as Qased Rice Drum and Ah Ya Weili.
The performance was leaving deep emotions for the audience and participating artists. Head of the UAE National Band, artist Fadel Alhumaidi, said he and his members were very impressed with traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.

In 2020 at the Expo 2020 World Exhibition taking place in Dubai (UAE) Vietnam Exhibition House hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Succeeded in promoting to UAE and international audiences the unique traditional historical and cultural values of Vietnam.
The exhibition attracted more than 700,000 visitors, welcoming many visitors. delegation of heads of state and high-ranking leaders of countries and international organizations, including the King of Dubai, UAE Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and many Ministers in the UAE Government.
