Details of VinFast VF e35: E-class electric SUV has just launched in the US

The all-electric SUV, VinFast VF e35, embodies the signature design language of VinFast, complemented by a suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies.

Debuting at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, the VinFast VF e35, alongside its sibling VF e36, captured the attention of the international media and garnered significant interest from its home country. This strategic move marks a pivotal milestone in VinFast’s ambitious journey to establish itself as a global smart electric vehicle brand.

Belonging to the E-segment SUV category, the VinFast VF e35 boasts a meticulously crafted design by the renowned Italian studio, Pininfarina. Its coupe-SUV hybrid design, paired with a sleek, closed-off electric vehicle grille, might seem unconventional to some in Vietnam.

However, familiar elements are evident in the VF e35, such as the prominent V-shaped logo and the LED daytime running lights that grace the front. The headlight assembly is divided into separate chambers, while the fog light strip runs horizontally and nearly perpendicular to the air intakes, adding a distinctive flair.

The VF e35 measures 4,750 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. These dimensions put it on par with rivals like the Tesla Model Y and BMW iX3, yet it offers a longer wheelbase compared to some similarly classed gasoline-powered vehicles.

The rear of the VF e35 echoes the design language of the Lux SA 2.0, with a robust taillight cluster that continues the V-shaped theme via a horizontal LED strip across the sides. The elongated C-pillar adds a sporty touch, reminiscent of high-performance vehicles.

Inside, the VF e35 breaks away from traditional gasoline vehicle interiors by eliminating the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. Instead, VinFast has equipped the vehicle with a centrally positioned 15.4-inch display. The gear selector features modern push-button controls, contributing to a futuristic cabin experience.

The VinFast VF e35 offers two battery options, with ranges of 460 km and 510 km respectively. The dual-motor setup delivers an impressive 402 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque, ensuring robust performance.

This SUV is designed with smart mobility in mind, integrating features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, intelligent driving assistance systems, collision mitigation technology, natural language voice control, and a smart virtual assistant.

The VF e35 is currently on display at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, alongside the larger VF e36 SUV. The commercial version is expected to launch in the second half of 2022, though pricing details have yet to be announced.
