Great way to send large files on Mac OS X with Mail Drop

  • At this point, try to send an email with a large file as usual, immediately a pop-up window will display with the content “Would you like to send this attachment using Mail Drop?” Select Use Mail Drop to start the process of uploading the file to iCloud.
  • Wait until the file has finished downloading and the email will be sent as usual.

Open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad and you will receive a file from Mail Drop as a download link with expiration date information. limit and file size.

Mail Drop is a great feature and works quite perfectly. If you plan to regularly send emails with large file attachments, select Mail as the default email application in Mac OS X because third-party email applications do not support sending files via Mail Drop.

Note: If you use the attachment removal feature in the OS X Mail app, the file before download will be removed but the download link from Mail Drop will not be available. removed until the limit period exceeds 30 days.
