Note: during the application installation process, if a dialog box appears warning that the application may be harmful to the user’s device. You do not need to worry and it is completely safe to ignore this warning dialog box and continue with the installation. The reason for this warning dialog box is because Bluezone uses Bluetooth low energy (BLE – Bluetooth Low Energy) positioning technology to determine the location of people infected with Covid-19, so smartphones can think that this is a harmful features.

After installation, click the “Allow” button from the dialog boxes that appear to grant permission for the application to operate. Bluezone will ask for permission to access the user’s location, but this is due to Google’s policy. When the application uses Bluetooth BLE technology, the smartphone will automatically ask for location permission and the Bluezone application does not use the permission.

Bluezone’s main interface is quite simple and will display other people using Bluezone near you and the total number of people who have joined the Bluezone community nationwide.

Click on the “Scan around” button and you will know how many people around you have installed the application on their smartphones and joined the Bluezone network. Click the “Contact history” button to know how many people you have come into contact with each day.
