On January 11, sources said, Nghe An Police Force 113 quickly arrested two subjects related to a slashing incident that caused injuries that occurred on the evening of January 10.
Around 9:20 p.m. on January 10, Police Center 113 received news of a man being seriously injured in front of house No. 281, Vo Nguyen Hien Street, Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An. Immediately upon receiving the news, the center sent forces to the scene.
Mr. H.M.H. (son-in-law of the homeowner) was seriously injured with many cuts on his arms and back. The authorities confiscated at the scene a metal stick with a sharp blade inside.
According to witnesses, at the time mentioned above, Mr. H. saw two men in front of his father-in-law’s house. and a woman was arguing so she intervened. However, these two men chased and slashed, injuring Mr. H. After committing the crime, the two subjects threw away the weapon and left the scene.
Information and images collected by Police Force 113 identified one of the two men present at the scene at the time. The point where the incident occurred was Duong Van Minh (42 years old, residing in Le Mao ward, Vinh city). This man was not present at his residence when the police checked.
By professional measures, Police 113 determined that Minh was taking a car to flee the area, so they organized a roundup. After only one hour after receiving the news, the authorities arrested Duong Van Minh and Tran Thanh Can (34 years old, residing in Truong Thi ward, Vinh city).
At the police station Duong Van Minh said that because he had a conflict with his wife, on the evening of January 10, Minh invited Tran Thanh Can to meet his wife to talk. When Minh and his wife were arguing in front of the gate at 281 Vo Nguyen Hien Street, Mr. H. intervened. Angry, Minh and Can used a knife to slash many times, seriously injuring Mr. H.
