Apple has just sent out invitations for an event on September 9, where we’re likely to witness the unveiling of four new iPhone 16 models, along with the latest Apple Watch series and updated AirPods.
The event will kick off at 10 AM PDT on September 9 (midnight on September 10, Hanoi time) at the Steve Jobs Theater, located within Apple’s headquarters at Apple Park in California. Fans and tech enthusiasts can watch the event live across Apple’s platforms, including the official website via Safari, Apple TV, and YouTube channel.
In the invitation titled “It’s Glowtime,” Apple has designed a logo surrounded by vibrant light rings. This imagery has sparked speculation that it might symbolize the new features of Apple Intelligence and the AI-powered Siri assistant.
AI and Apple Intelligence features are expected to be a major focus of the September 9 event. Currently, only two iPhone models, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, support these features. However, it is highly anticipated that the entire iPhone 16 lineup, including the standard models, will also be equipped with Apple Intelligence.
This year’s iPhone 16 series could come with a dedicated capture button featuring force-sensitive technology on the right side. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to boast larger displays, the powerful A18 Pro chip, significant camera upgrades, support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G Advanced, and a graphene cooling system.
In addition to the iPhone 16, Apple is likely to introduce the Watch Series 10, Watch Ultra 3, or possibly a new premium model called Watch X, aimed at general users. The AirPods lineup is also due for an upgrade, with even the standard version rumored to include active noise cancellation.
With the September 9 launch, it’s likely that the iPhone 16 will hit major markets starting September 20, with Vietnam possibly being included in the second wave of releases towards the end of September.
Mobile retail systems consider the iPhone 16 launch as one of the most significant events of the year. Despite all models being priced above 20 million VND, their sales often surpass those of mid-range and budget phones from other brands.
