Mrs. Trinh Thi Khong (born 1905, from Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa) is living in Binh Loc commune, Long Khanh city, Dong Nai with her daughter Do Thi Ninh (82 years old) and her children.

Mrs. Khong received a 110-year-old birthday card from former President Truong Tan Sang in 2014. In June 2023, she received a 118-year-old birthday card from the People’s Committee of Binh Loc commune, Long Khanh city. This year, he turned 119 years old and is the oldest person in Vietnam. < /p>
Mrs. Khong is from Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa. Since the year From 2014 to now, he moved to Dong Nai to live with his second daughter, Ninh (82 years old). According to Mrs. Ninh, her mother has 7 children (4 boys and 3 girls). Mr. Khong’s first son is over 90 years old and is still alive In his hometown of Thanh Hoa, Mr. Khong has up to 150 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Even though she is 82 years old, Mrs. Ninh is still healthy and alert. Mrs. Ninh shared that for nearly two years, Mrs. Khong has not been able to move around much, mainly staying at home. Every day he eats 3 meals and only eats porridge and drinks bird’s nest. Besides Mrs. Ninh, his grandchildren do not regularly take care of him.
Mrs. Ninh added that before, Mr. Khong lived in Thanh Hoa. In 2014, he decided to go to Dong Nai to live with Mrs. Ninh. From then on, he took the bus to Thanh Hoa to visit for a few months and then came back She fell and broke her hip, and she did not return to visit her hometown like before.
“When I first came to live in Dong Nai, my mother, who was 108 years old at that time, was still healthy. She still cleans, peels jackfruit seeds, and does garden work around the house. In 2018, he fell and broke his hip, his health was completely weakened and he mainly stayed at home,” Ms. Ninh said. Not being served many meals a day with small portions. Lately, the hot weather in the afternoon makes her tired, so she often just sits in bed and sits up in the cool afternoon to chat with her children.</p >
To prevent her from losing her appetite and skipping meals, Mrs. Ninh and her children constantly change dishes. When it’s time to eat, the children gather to sit next to her to create a joyful atmosphere.
< p>According to Ms. Ninhcha, she was a martyr who sacrificed her life in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954. Mr. Khong alone had to be both father and mother to take care of 7 children. Fortunately, all 4 sons and 3 daughters in the family were present All are healthy. The eldest brother was born in 1936, and the youngest brother was born when her mother was nearly 50 years old.
Mr. Khong currently has 150 great-grandchildren, most of whom live in Dong Nai We had many occasions to meet each other even though Mr. Khong could not remember all the names of his children and grandchildren. Mr. Nguyen Van Lao, Chairman of the People’s Association Elderly people of Binh Loc commune said that the authorities regularly visit and take care of Mr. Khong’s health. The local government and his family are making a proposal to be recognized by Guinness Vietnam Records as the current oldest person in Vietnam.
Currently, the Guinness Vietnam record has not yet been confirmed, so it is impossible to confirm that Mrs. Trinh Thi Khong is the oldest person in Vietnam.
According to Ms. Do Thi Ninh, every month Mr. State subsidy is 11 million VND. As for Mr. Kho’s caregiver, the State supports 300,000 VND/month.
