Love poems of marine soldiers

Love poem of a marine soldier

I set sail
Clouds hung across the sky, white sails
The moment I said goodbye, I walked on the harbor
The sea is on one side and you are on the other.

The sea is noisy but you are calm
You just said something and then smiled quietly
You are like a ship that calms the waves from both sides
The sea one side and you on the other side

Tomorrow tomorrow when the city lights up
My ship anchors under the distant constellation of stars
The water flows deep but I’m not alone
The sea is one one side and you on the other.

The hard-working country has never been peaceful
The storm blows endlessly in the white mourning rims
I stand guard. It’s late at night. Deserted island…
The sea on one side and you on the other.

The sky there may not be you
No more sea. It’s just me and the grass
Even so, I still remember
The sea on one side and you on the other…

Poetry Lover BLOG: The The refrain “The sea on one side and you on the other” is repeated 5 times in all 5 stanzas. Sometimes “I’m like a ship with waves from both sides” other times “The water flows deep but I’m not alone”… And finally “The sky above may not be you – I don’t understand anymore. It’s just me and the grass – Even so, I still remember – The ocean on one side and you on the other…”

A marine soldier’s love poem is simple but intense like the sea.
