Midfielder Christian Eriksen is dissatisfied with coach Ten Hag

I talked to coach Erik Ten Hag about being unhappy with the current situation. I want to be on the field as much as possible. I’m always ready to help the team, which I have been and always will be,” midfielder Christian Eriksen shared with Danish newspaper Tipsbladet in the latest interview.

Eriksen has signed a contract. on a free transfer with Man Utd in the summer of 2022, but he only started 11 matches this season.

The Danish midfielder lost his place in the starting lineup to young player Kobbie Mainoo, who has always been trusted by coach Ten Hag since joining the “Red Devils” in last November.

That’s why Eriksen feels disappointed when he has to “grind his pants” on the bench so much this season.

“Previously I declared that I was not satisfied with not being able to play as a starter. Obviously this makes me feel depressed.

I still know that the whole team is working hard and I have to respect my role in the team. For me it’s about working hard and focusing on being fresh for every match. Anyway, I’m getting used to having to sit on the bench even though it was hard to accept before.

Coach Ten Hag also made it clear that he chose Kobbie Mainoo because he is playing well. The rest of the midfield is also performing well so there will be competition for positions which is expected when playing for a top club like Man Utd” Eriksen expressed.

“All However I may be worried in the long run because I want to play as much as possible. Of course no one wants to sit on the bench. I don’t like it but I have to respect the coach,” the Danish midfielder added.
