Miss Korea passed away at the age of 27

Dispatch page reported that Miss Lee Yeon Je passed away at the age of 27. Lee Yeon Je’s funeral took place at a hospital in Sincho, Seoul, South Korea, on the morning of June 25. 

The news that Lee Yeon Je passed away at a young age made colleagues and fans mourn. Lee Yeon Je’s relatives did not reveal her illness to the public. 

Lee Yeon Je (born 1996) graduated from the Department of French Language and Literature at Korea University. Receiving encouragement from friends and relatives, Lee Yeon Je boldly signed up to participate in beauty contests. 

She won Miss Korea Daegu and Miss Shin Saimdang in 2020. Lee Yeon Je has a beautiful appearance, lovely face and sunny smile. 

After winning the beauty contest, Lee Yeon Je is pursuing a job as a reporter host for Korea’s MBN channel from 2022 on economic and social issues. The beauty queen, born in 1996, used to be a broadcaster for Yonhap News TV. 

In the eyes of her colleagues, Lee Yeon Je is a cheerful, enthusiastic girl who works hard and always treats everyone well. 

A week before she passed away, Lee Yeon Je posted a post on her personal page. She confided that 2 months ago she noticed her health was deteriorating so she proactively stopped work to get a check-up. 

It’s difficult but I’m very grateful and love the people around me because they always give me strength,” she wrote. 

In Lee Yeon Je’s last post, photos of text messages sent by colleagues to encourage the beauty were also posted. Below the post, many fellow fans sent their condolences to the family of the 27-year-old beauty queen.
