On the morning of February 28, Mitsubishi Vietnam introduced the Outlander 2022, a 5+2 crossover model considered a direct competitor of the Honda CR-V. In the segment, Mitsubishi’s car also has to compete with Hyundai Tucson or Mazda CX-5.
The 2022 model year of the Outlander is an upgraded version in the middle of the life cycle, so there are no major changes. Regarding the vehicle’s appearance, chrome is added to the front and rear bumper lights to match the body color. Seen from the side, the new Outlander looks more uniform and “fatter” when the wheel cavity is no longer covered with rough black plastic on the side of the car, plus two-tone 18-inch rims are decorated.
On the inside, the 2022 Outlander adds additional features. Decorative details on the door panels and seat dashboard are stitched with diamond patterns. The car is upgraded to an 8-inch entertainment screen with an automatic anti-glare interior rearview mirror.
Mitsubishi adds a series of safety equipment for The new Outlander includes front sensors (the old version only had rear sensors), lane departure warning system, automatic headlights, blind spot warning and lane change assist, rear cross-traffic warning when reversing, 7 airbags on all versions.
After stopping selling the 2.4 version, Outlander currently only has the 2.0L Mivec engine option. This machine produces a maximum capacity of 145 horsepower and maximum torque of 196Nm. The car uses a continuously variable automatic transmission with shift levers behind the steering wheel that can simulate 6-speed gears.
Outlander 2022 is distributed with the 2.0 CVT version priced at 825 million VND and the 2.0 CVT version. Premium costs 950 million VND due to domestic assembly, so it will enjoy a 50% reduction in registration fees from the Government until May 31, 2022.
