Order of succession to the British Royal throne after the Queen’s death

On September 8, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 in Scotland, UK. 73-year-old Prince Charles, the first in the line of succession, became the new king of this country with the title King Charles III. His coronation is expected to take place in the next few months.

This development leads to the 40-year-old Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, eldest son of King Charles III, taking first place. in the succession list. Prince William’s eldest son, 9-year-old Prince George, is ranked second on the list. Prince William’s second and third children are ranked 3rd and 4th on the list, respectively.

Prince Harry, Prince William’s younger brother, is ranked 5th on the succession list. 

According to the funeral plan, Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral is expected to take place within 10 days until September 19. The Queen’s coffin will be carried from Balmoral Castle to Holyrood Palace and then to St. Giles where a ceremony will be held with the participation of members of the British Royal Family.

The Queen’s body will then be moved to Buckingham Palace before being laid in state at Westminster Hall in capital London so that guests and people around the world can visit her for 5 days.
