“Profession A stuntman (cascadeur) is a profession that specializes in standing in for actors in dangerous action scenes such as driving, falling, jumping from buildings and setting fires. That is the job of stunt actors,” Mr. Tuan explained.

Mr. Tuan said he has appeared in more than 200 different films from big screen films to short web drama films.

Besides, in addition to martial arts, a stuntman must also equip himself with many special skills such as acrobatics, swinging, driving motorbikes and cars, and action acting. Creativity, constant learning and practice is also one of the requirements for this profession.

When asked what is the most difficult thing for a stuntman, Mr. Tuan said it is ensuring safety and safety. unstable low income from the profession.

“ The remuneration for the Vietnamese stuntman profession does not have a fixed level, each person has a different level depending on the difficulty of each scene and the producers. film production. There are months when following a film crew you can earn 20 – 30 million VND, but sometimes there are a few months without income,” Mr. Tuan shared.

In cinema, hardly any artistic person has to face as much danger as a stuntman.

According to Mr. Tuan, depending on the experience and skills of the cascadeur, there will be different salaries.

However, compared to the general average, the salary of the cascadeur is quite low The cascadeur doesn’t have a job all year, so he has to make a living with another job. The average income of a cascadeur is only a few million dong/month.

Sharing about the process of sticking with the profession for more than 20 years, Mr. Tuan He smiled and said: “This is my own passion. I play this sport because of my passion and then sit and wait for the brothers and sisters in the film crew or the directors to invite me to act.
