Launched in India late last year, Celerio 2022 is planned to be brought to Southeast Asia, of which the first market will be in the Philippines. The car is expected to appear at the exhibition Automobile Manila International 2022 takes place in April before expanding trade to other countries.
Some leaked images show that the 2022 Celerio for the Southeast Asian market has a similar design to the version sold in India. The small oval radiator grille runs horizontally with chrome lines and the Suzuki logo. Meanwhile, the lower bumper extends horizontally connecting the two fog lights. The lighting system on Celerio 2022 still uses halogen bulbs.
In India, Celerio 2022 is equipped with 15-inch black wheels. The door handle is a classic flip type. To match the overall softness of the new version, the taillight cluster has also been shortened to create a similar feeling to the lights of the Suzuki Swift. The car has 6 exterior color options including white silver gray brown blue and red.
Although there have been design changes interior but the interior design of Celerio 2022 is still not really modern. The car is equipped with a 7-inch entertainment screen that extends to both sides of the air conditioning vents with mechanical adjustment knobs. The simple steering wheel has a mechanical speedometer pulled to the sides and there are round air vents.
The engine used on the Celerio 2022 is a 1.0L 3-cylinder with a capacity of 67 horsepower and Maximum torque 89Nm. 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. The equipment of this car model stops at a basic level with 2 ABS EBD brake airbags and parking assist sensor.
Not having too shiny appearance or outstanding parameters, Celerio 2022’s strength is expected to be its cheap price. The car will be a rival of Toyota Wigo Kia Morning. When it returns to Vietnam this year, this car model will have to compete with VinFast Fadil.
