The “American standard” sedan Cadillac CTS was discontinued

Cadillac spokesperson confirmed the information News that the Lansing Grand River factory in the US state of Michigan will stop producing the CTS line. The new CT5 model will be replaced.

The CTS model was first launched in 2003 with the standard version equipped. Engines: 3.2L V6 with 220 horsepower V6 3.6L with 255 horsepower and later added a 2.8L V6. In 2004, the high-performance CTS-V version was launched with a 5.7L LS6 V8 engine with a capacity of up to 400 horsepower.

Cadillac launched the second generation of the CTS in 2004. 2008 uses the Sigma II platform. And the improved CTS-V version is also available on the market, attracting the attention of the European market when it possesses a 6.2L V8 turbocharged engine with a capacity of 556 horsepower and 747 Nm of torque.

Perhaps the most significant changes to the CTS were made in the third generation when the car used GM’s Alpha platform and moved from competing with the BMW 3-Series to the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes- Benz E-Class.

The 3rd generation CTS-V version was equipped with a 6.2L V8 turbocharged engine with a capacity of up to 640 horsepower and 854 Nm of torque. – the most powerful of the Cadillac models.
