The Central Organizing Committee supports a 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1

On the morning of April 9, the Central Organizing Committee issued a document giving opinions on the Ministry plan Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs proposes to swap normal working days and make up for another day during the holiday of April 30 – May 1, 2024.

Accordingly, the Central Organizing Committee agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on swapping working days. normal (April 29) and make up for it on another day to report to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.

According to the Central Organizing Committee, compared with the regulations on Tet holidays (Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code) proposed by Ministry of Labor does not change the working time budget and ensures that civil servants and employees have fully harmonious holidays. Besides, it also contributes to stimulating social consumption tourism demand to promote economic growth.

Up to now, in addition to the Central Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Information and Communications Ministry Traffic all approved the proposal to swap working days so that the holiday from April 30 to May 1 lasts 5 days from April 27 to May 1, including swapping days. normal work (April 29) was changed to make up work on another day.

According to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, after receiving full opinions from ministries and branches, the new drafting agency compiled and advised leadership direct the ministry to submit it to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
