The first dogs know how to drive a car

Three 10 month old Porter dogs (Beardie Cross breed) Monty an 18 month old German Schnauzer Cross giant dog and Ginny 1 year old Beardie Whippet Cross breed are the “representatives” are selected from the dogs of the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in the city of Auckland New Zealand.

After 8 weeks of training the dogs were able to drive a small car that can even turn. First, three dogs were specially trained with car engine parts such as steering wheels, hand brakes, and foot brakes mounted on wooden panels and moved at an indoor laboratory.

Mark Vette, who is training these dogs, said: “They I train the dogs with different actions, first touching the motors, then we teach them how to touch different parts with the left and right paws.

“All The dogs all passed this training step and did very well,” said Mark. The SPCA Association hopes that through dogs knowing how to drive, the community will have a good impression of the dogs and will adopt them.

Mrs. Christine Kalin, chief executive officer of the Auckland SPCA, said: “Monty Ginny and Porter are “ambassadors”. ” represents the many dogs being raised and cared for at animal cruelty prevention centers across New Zealand and around the world. We hope that the message “dogs can drive” will touch people’s hearts and they will adopt them.

The first dogs in the world to know driving a car
