A compression bandage is to press the bandage tightly against the wound to stop bleeding
Place a tourniquet
Standard tourniquet requires a thin flexible rubber band 3-5cm wide and long 1 2-2m for the upper limb and 5-8cm long 2-3m for the lower limb and liner ring.
The principle of applying a tourniquet is to block the path of the artery to the wound. Therefore, placing the bandage 2-3cm above the wound must have a gasket before applying the tourniquet. Note that ring 1 is moderate, ring 2 is tighter than ring 3 is the tightest (determines hemostasis), ring 4 is widened to fit the remaining tourniquet roll.
Place the tourniquet on for no more than 6 hours, loosen the tourniquet once every hour, and relax for no more than 1 minute each time. Loosen by inserting 2 fingers into the last tourniquet ring and lifting it up, unrolling the tourniquet roll and slowly loosening the third round. When you see the pink wound in the skin under the tourniquet becoming warm, re-roll the 3rd and 4th rounds. .

Emergency Tourniquet: 2-3 handkerchief rubbing pen/ruler/chopsticks lanyard. First, wrap a towel above the wound and tie a small diagonally folded towel loosely over the first towel. Insert a stick while lifting and twisting the second towel until you see the bleeding stops. Secure the stick to avoid touching the wound.

How to make a compression bandage
Use your hands or clean gauze or towel to immediately apply pressure to the wound. Let the patient lie comfortably and always place the injured part higher than the body to reduce blood pressure. Then use a bandage roll or bandage to press the gauze or towel against the wound. Do not bandage too tightly like a tourniquet. If blood seeps through, do not remove the old bandage and apply a new bandage.
