According to the announcement on VinFast’s website, from January 1, 2024, the suggested retail price of VF 5 Plus will be adjusted to increase by 10 million VND. The new price is 468 million VND without battery and 548 million VND if Vietnamese customers choose to buy the battery outright, applicable to users who deposit or buy the car from January 1, 2024.
After adjustment , the new price of VF 5 Plus is still relatively attractive compared to competitors of the same size running on gasoline. Toyota Raize is listed at 552 million VND Kia Sonet is priced at 519-574 million VND Hyundai Venue starts at 539 million VND and highest at 579 million VND.
The rolling cost is also advantage of VF 5 Plus when this product and models electric cars in general are exempt from registration fees according to incentives from the Government. Thus, the rolling price of VF 5 Plus, even when buying the battery outright, is only on par with competitors in the segment.
Battery rental policy of VinFast VF 5 Plus has no changes. Users will have to deposit 15 million VND for battery rental to choose 1 of 2 service packages: 1 6 million VND/month if traveling less than 3,000km or 2 7 million VND/month if traveling more than 3,000km.
VinFast VF 5 Plus has a length, width and height of 3,967mm, 1,723mm and 1,578mm respectively. The car’s wheelbase reaches 2,514mm, providing more spacious seating space than the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue but a bit smaller than the Toyota Raize.
Compared to gasoline-powered competitors VinFast VF 5 Plus has the competitive advantage of advanced driving assistance technologies such as: cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot warning, traffic flow warning when the door is opened, rear parking assist and reversing camera.
Providing power for VinFast VF 5 Plus is an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 100kW (converted to about 134 horsepower) and torque. Maximum twist reaches 135Nm. The vehicle’s battery pack has a capacity of 37 23kWh, providing a maximum operating range of about 300km.
