Scallions
You can keep the roots and about 4 cm of the stem, soak them in a jar or glass cup filled with water up to 2/3 of the plant .
Put it in a place with light. After a few days, the stem will grow green leaves again. When you need to use it for cooking, you can cut off the top and leave the root in water. If you want the tree to branch and grow quickly, you should plant the roots in the ground.
Aromatic herbs</p >
If you do not use all of the herbs like basil and coriander, you can put them in a water bottle and leave them near a place with light for at least 6 hours a day and change the water regularly.
The tree has roots of about 5cm and can be planted in soil. With basil, you can just stick the old branches in water and these branches will grow roots and leaves after about 2 weeks.
Celery
Retain the celery root from 5 to 7cm and soak it in a bowl of warm water without submerging the root with the cut side facing up. When the leaves begin to sprout, plant them in a pot or garden and take care of them as usual.
Carrot
Keep about 3-4cm the base of the carrots and place them in a tray containing a little water. Place this tray in a room with good natural lighting conditions such as a windowsill. After a few days, the green leaves will grow lushly, so you should plant them in soil. About 3 months later, the carrots will be harvested.
Cabbage
Cabbage can be easily grown in water. Cut the stem and place it in a small bowl of water for 3-4 days and it will produce young leaves.
Xà Lettuce
Instead of throwing away the lettuce roots, you can use them to replant. Just soak in a bowl of water halfway up the plant for about 3-5 days and the lettuce root will grow roots and put on young leaves.
Then you can plant the root in soil. Just place it in a cool place with enough sunlight and the plant will grow well without needing fertilizers or pesticides. This method can also be applied to cabbage.
